Purchasing on the Internet
We accept credit and debit cards (VISA, Mastercard, Switch, Maestro) and American Express cards. If you are shopping from outside the UK your credit card company will convert the transaction into your own currency at the prevailing rate. Your card will not be debited until any order or part-order is shipped. Card details can be sent by post, fax or email; or through our own secure internet site if you order on-line. If any item is no longer available, we will let you know.
Credit Card Security
All credit card numbers are encrypted in the software and are not held in clear text on any website.
V.A.T.
All our prices are inclusive of British V.A.T. currently at 17½% except for books and children’s clothes, which exempt from V.A.T. If you are ordering from outside the European Community, you will not be liable from paying this tax if applicable and we will adjust the prices accordingly when you are charged.
Delivery within the U.K.
Our aim is to despatch all orders so they reach you with seven days of ordering. If you would like an urgent delivery please let us know and we will endeavour to fulfil your request. If the parcel contains a present, we can also include a card or letter from you if you send it with your order. Small packages weighing up to 1½ kilos are sent by post; everything else by Parcelforce. We charge £4.95 for 48-hour delivery, irrespective of value or size. Orders with a value of over £100 are sent free of charge. Next day delivery can usually be arranged and costs £10.00.
Delivery to Overseas Destinations
Overseas deliveries will be charged at cost. Please email or call us for quote. Items can be sent either by air (up to a week) or by surface mail (up to six weeks).

Returns Policy
If for any reason you are not satisfied with your purchase, please let us know before you return it. We operate a no-quibble returns policy and will replace any faulty or damaged goods.
Privacy Policy
Please note that Direct Import never make your details available to any other company or organisation. This has always been our policy. We are in the business of selling ceramics and other gift products; we do not sell mailing lists.
